Google Ad Sitelinks: Get that extra visibility
Google is always looking for ways to improve the user experience, and in the realm of paid search, they are consistently adding new features and options. For 2010, there are already several things being implemented including product extensions, comparison ads, and a newer feature called Ad Sitelinks. These sitelinks could prove to be a very helpful update that gives users more targeted options, and gives advertisers better results.
You might be familiar with how sitelinks show in organic- they can often appear beneath an organic listing and may feature certain product, service or contact pages for a given company.

Ad Sitelinks are the paid version, and they are extensions to your current PPC ads, providing keyword targeted links underneath your ad to allow the user to quickly navigate further pages in your site with just one click.

Google allows you to add up to 4 different links that will appear under your ad on the search engine results page. If you want some further details on how these operate, check out Google’s Help Center.
It’s important to note that these sitelinks are only available for accounts that meet certain requirements. The higher the quality of your ad, the more likely you are to have this as an option. i.e. high quality score, better performing ads, etc. So, while not available to everyone, it’s all the more incentive to have your account in good standing with Google and really work to make improvements.
A recent article from Search Engine Land, highlights some of the new AdWords options discussed at SMX West, including Ad Sitelinks. Their article is titled “Grab more attention with Google’s new search ads”, and these search ad options really help you do just that. Not only does additional information help set you apart from other ads on the page, it also give the user more opportunities and incentives to click on yours.
How have you used any of Google’s additional ad features? We’d love to hear your ideas and comments!

I didn't know about this! Off to check and add some now (if G will allow it on my account!)
The only disadvantage about this sitelinks is that i cannot edit it as per my requirement. Google should provide options i.e out of 20 we can select top 5 or something like that so that those pages which are useless for us make it viewable at our face can be skiped via options.
