Google Confirms Increase in Search Snippet Length

In early January we discussed about “Google Testing Description Length on Search Snippet” here in ThatsSEO and the same now has been confirmed by Google. Today Google announced two major updates in its result pages and one is just what we are talking about. The another one about better search refinement.

Google claims that longer snippet would appear for the longer search queries, probably for search queries having more than three words. And they demand that this will produce better user experience with the search engine result pages (SERP) since users get longer descriptions for their bigger queries and they can get a better idea on the listed website what content it would have!
