The growing number of SEO jobs listed on Indeed.com, grew 20% in 2008, from 2,234 to 2,698 which is really remarkable. Salaries range from $30,000 to six digit based on the position you look for. According to indeed.com, average seo salaries for job postings nationwide are 16% higher than average salaries for all job postings nationwide.
The above graph speak the entire story. The reason for the growth in job market for SEO Industry is the growing competition among the website owners and they look for people who can show results with online SEO campaigns. People tired of traditional media advertisements and digital media marketing is on hot seat now.
The below comparision between SEO, Software and Marketing salary trend provides some insight details. Also indeed.com noted saying here as, average SEO Job salaries for job postings nationwide are 26% higher than average Marketing Job salaries for job postings nationwide.
The SEO industry is blooming and the demand is strong and focussed. The bottom line is the oppurtunity is wide open and its left to us to grab it. I agree strongly. Not only the marketing firms and organizations are looking at seo seriously, but the corporates (big and small) are seeing this as an economical way to promote their business and services. At such time of economy, with cut budgets, they have to concentrate on online marketing which gives the no.s and the ROI. Thus, making it easier to invest more which reaps more benefits. Corporates are already having a different team for online marketing and they are having seo and sem in-house. Cheers… there is lot more to see dear seo folks.
