Wikipedia blacklisted in Britain

We often read that Wikipedia blacklist IP etc but it is vice versa now. A recent article from Sydney Morning Herald has published that Wikipedia is added to child pornography blacklist in Britain. This led to every internet users in Britain blocked from accessing Wikipedia site anonymously.

The article about the 1976 album Virgin Killer in Wikipedia has led to the blacklist by Internet Watch Foundation. The British Government also backed the blacklist by internet watchdog. The article features a naked young girl in the album cover. Many other internet service providers also blocked Wikipedia owing to this issue.

When asked about this to Wikipedia administrators they refused to remove the image from the website and further added “We have no reason to believe the article, or the image contained in the article, has been held to be illegal in any jurisdiction anywhere in the world,” said the Wikimedia Foundation’s general counsel, Mike Godwin.

Yep I have also read that news in SMH this morning. What I don’t understand about this stuff is, how does Google think that wiki content is trust worthy and giving #1 position in SERPs? I mean, they cache the entire web content and store it inside their database. so on their servers somewhere are these images. So are they breaking the law? I doubt the credibility of “G” and shame on “W”. Anywayz hard time for british people.
