Search Engine Land introduces membership

Posted by Raghavan 23 December, 2008

Search Engine Land has revamped its website introducing more new features to it. The highlighting feature of the revamp includes the re-launch of their comment section and introduction of premium membership.

This article feature more insight information of the membership introduced by Search Engine Land,

Blog Commenting: The comment section has been re-launched where users are required to login to post comments for the article. Previously the comments are monitored through Sphinn and I would really appreciate re-introducing the comment section within the post since I find difficult keeping track of the comments and getting more info for the post through Sphinn. The Premium members’ comments are whitelisted and if you think of posting more links using your membership then you are wrong since all links are nofollow.

Repository: With the introduction of membership Search Engine Land has created a huge archive section by Month and Subject. The best part is they are neatly categorized starting from Search Engines, SEO, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft etc. I’m sure this is an excellent addition and will be very useful to recount history on various topics.

SMX video, Discounts and Newsletters: Members will have access to selected video from the SMX events, special discounts on SMX are introduced for the premium members in addition to exclusive newsletters.

I’m sure this change will help all the SEOs and I personally feel the introduction of the repository is really going to help me a lot in getting more info on the past. I’ll come up with more post on reviewing their library.

Thanks Danny for an excellent addition to the year end :)
