Domain Score, Page Score and Search Rankings

I have decided to come up with this post after reading threads in Live Search forum on Domain Score, Page Score and search rankings. This post will feature consolidated details on Domain Score, Page Score and search rankings in Live Search Engine.

Domain Score: Provides a measurement on how authoritative Live Search views a domain. The rating is given through empty boxes and green boxes with 5 green boxes being the highest rating and empty boxes being the lowest rating.

You can find the domain score by logging into the Live Search Webmaster Center account for your website.

Page Score: Provides a measurement on how authoritative Live Search views a web page. The rating is given through empty boxes and green boxes with 5 green boxes being the highest rating and empty boxes being the lowest rating.

In Live Search Webmaster Center you can find the Page Score for the Top 5 Pages of the website in the summary section. Further you can use the keywords tab and search for the relevant keywords of your website and find Page Score for other pages of your website. Adding to this Live Search also provides Page Score for website Backlinks too.

Both Domain Score and Page Score are based on some factors used to determine Static Rank, but directly not comparable.

I would like to highlight a thread in Live Search Forum which discuss about Domain Score and Page Score being high but no search ranking. As a reply to this thread the moderator of the forum has clearly stated that “The page/domain score is to give you an idea of how authoritative we think the page is, but it does not directly correlate with SERP rankings due to many other factors.”
