The quality is the relevant traffic that you generate to the website and the volume corresponds to the number of visitors drive in for the website.

This is done by optimizing the website for the relevant keywords and ensuring that the website follows search engine guidelines in design, development and content. Adding to this links from other website to your website, what we call as inbound links is important to achieve results in SEO.

- Education Qualification – Any graduation in Computer Science
I’m sure most of you wouldn’t agree with me on the last point which is why it is given the least preference.

It’s always good for people to know in advance that what they can expect from a career in SEO before they choose SEO as their career. This helps them to step up in their career and to acheive greater heights. I personally feel that choosing an SEO career is the right choice for the and they may have to pass through high waves and hard rocks to survive in this competitive SEO world.

Great post Raghavan, I certainly agree that you have to have a competitive instinct to work in the SEO industry, but on the flipside, it’s really rewarding to see small businesses double or triple their amount of enquiries/sales because of something you did to their website!
